Rules you should know
As a municipal entity, ExpoCité is subject to Ville de Québec rules and regulations. In addition, there are a number of rules specific to ExpoCité, including:
Centre de foires: Only service dogs are permitted. Other animals must be pre-approved by ExpoCité representatives.
Outdoor venues: Dogs and cats are allowed as long as they are on a leash. They must never be left unattended. In addition, in accordance with Ville de Québec pet regulations, animals must not create a nuisance.
For safety reasons, the consumption of alcoholic beverages is strictly prohibited during setup and teardown.
Please note that for their own safety, children under 16 are not permitted in event spaces during setup and teardown.
The following are prohibited:
- Cutting or damaging trees or branches at the site
- Leaving food waste where it can be reached by animals
- Washing your car or its accessories at the site
Fires are prohibited at the ExpoCité.
For everyone’s comfort and safety, corridors, elevators, foyers, lobbies, stairwells, and access to emergency exits are not to be obstructed. Moreover, these areas must not be used for purposes other than those provided for by ExpoCité and the authorities in charge of safety at public buildings. If you have a special project in mind, please contact us to find the best possible solution for your needs.
Keep the venue clean. Use garbage bags and dispose of them in the receptacles provided.
Indoor pyrotechnics are subject to strict rules. Smoke machines must be approved in advance. A smoke response team may be required, at your own expense. In addition, to prevent the fire alarms from going off, the ExpoCité security team must be notified before a smoke machine is activated.
ExpoCité is a smoke-free environment. Smoking or vaping is prohibited within nine metres of all buildings. No exceptions.
