Place Jean-Béliveau and the woodland
Above all, Place Jean-Béliveau is a place to meet friends, make discoveries and have fun. This huge public space can accommodate up to 10,000 people for outdoor events of all kinds in every season.
On hot summer days, kids will take special delight in the water park, while adults are sure to enjoy the extensive lawns—a great place to stretch out as you nibble on a few Grand Marché delicacies! Whether you're in the mood for a family picnic or another outdoor event, Place Jean-Béliveau is where it’s at!
It is the perfect place to hold a company picnic.
The kids will love it! The Québec City region's largest playground can be found at Place Jean-Béliveau woodland. Designed as an outdoor adventure course ending in the trees, the structure include activity stations, hanging elements and climbing cables, all inspired by the magical world of Peter Pan. Picnic tables, a rubberized surface and a grassy area is also available.
Place Jean-Béliveau's public artworks offer a unique blend of art and sport, mixing streamlined simplicity with surprise. In addition to "La Rencontre," five daring pieces of contemporary art corresponding to five key periods in the history of ice hockey in Québec City are in the special commemorative area.
