Web accessibility

ExpoCité strives to make its website accessible to everyone. The digital platform complies with several of the accessibility rules developed by the Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI):

  • The site can be browsed using a keyboard.
  • The breadcrumb trail and context menu are designed to make sure users always know where they are on the site.
  • Content is structured with hierarchical headings and always begins with a first-level header.
  • Text has a high contrast ratio with the background for easy reading.
  • Colour is never used as the only way to convey information.
  • All non-text content (such as images) has a text-based equivalent.
  • No rapidly flashing elements are used.
  • Labels are explicitly associated with the form fields.
  • The vocabulary used is as simple as possible.
  • Style sheets are used to separate the content from how it is presented.

Other accessibility measures

 At the Videotron Centre:

  • Adapted seats for wheelchair users can be reserved next to regular seats for companions
  • Accessible payment window
  • Low reception counter
