Special event

Élise Gravel is a Quebec author and illustrator. Élise Gravel deconstructs the clichés and stereotypes imposed on children through the simple drawings she spreads on social networks and the children's books she writes. Her taste for satire and parody, which she uses extensively in her albums and installations, amuses many. In this outdoor exhibition, she plays with this absurd humor to denounce issues such as diversity and racism, explained to young people in a playful way.

The exhibition also features text and images of immigrant families who have settled in Quebec City. A look at their backgrounds and motivations. With the help of a QR code for each family, we learn a great deal about their history and their desire to immigrate to Quebec City.
