Access for persons with restricted physical ability

As an adapted site, ExpoCité is designed to be accessible to all people with restricted physical ability. Venue spaces, entrances, equipment and services are adapted for all visitors.

Website accessibility

ExpoCité strives to provide a website that is accessible to people with disabilities or physical restrictions. Our website complies with several of the accessibility rules developed under the Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI):

  • Keyboard-assisted navigation is available.
  • The "breadcrumbs" (navigation path) and context menus (pop-ups) allow users to navigate the website.
  • The content is organized in hierarchical headings and always begins with a first-level heading.
  • The text contrasts with the background for easier reading.
  • Colours are never used as the only means of relaying information.
  • Non-textual content, such as images, always has textual equivalents.
  • Blinking functions are not used.
  • The fields in forms are clearly labelled.
  • The vocabulary used is as simple and straightforward as possible.
  • Style sheets are used to separate content from its presentation.
